The fully matured grapes are partially harvested by hand and are vinificated with utmost diligence using the latest technology. This approach ensures that the typical characteristics of each grape variety are preserved. Riesling and Pinot gris/Grauer Burgunder are famous white grape varieties. The Riesling Classic and Grauer Burgunder Classic are fruity and full-bodied. They are a good match with fish and meat.
Silvaner Icewine and Ortega Trockenbeerenauslese/TBA are famous noble sweet dessert wines. They are often used as highly estimated presents.
Special attention is put on the red grape varieties, i.e. Dornfelder or Pinot Noir that mature in small oak barrels (Barrique) to become powerful, complex red wines. High-quality wines that meet international standard are the result. In the last decade the wine estate emerged to one of the most successful German wine growing estates at national and international competitions - an unmistakable evidence of the quality.
In 2010, the family Anselmann received the “Federal Prize of Honour in Gold” which is awarded by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
